Kilombo Academic and Cultural Institute is an accredited independent school in Decatur, GA. Kilombo's mission is to foster an academically excellent and culturally relevant education that produces students who are equipped to succeed globally and are committed to social justice. We service students from Pre-K to 8th grade. Kilombo has a track record of student success! Over Kilombo’s 18 years, 80% of our scholars are reading on grade level or above, and the average student at Kilombo reads in the top 37%. While this should be the norm, unfortunately the schools our student population are zoned for have the opposite statistics. 

Kilombo only exists because of supporters like you who are truly invested in developing marginalized  communities, and specifically developing our youth. In a time where books are being banned and culturally responsive teaching is under attack, schools like Kilombo are more important than ever!
